What is a Pling?
A Pling is one tap that tells your family where you are. You can attach a photo or video from the app's own camera, with filters and stickers if you like.
Who can see where I am?
Only members of your own family. Never other Plinghome users.
Can a child turn off location sharing?
Yes. A child can pause sharing themselves from their own Settings tab, at any time.
How do I delete tracking history?
An admin can permanently delete all stored location history under Settings → “Delete all tracking data”.
How do I delete my whole account?
Go to Settings → “Delete my account”. Your tracking history, phone number and profile photo are permanently deleted, and your name is replaced with “Deleted user” in the family's messages.
Does the app use AI?
Only for optional reply suggestions in chat and suggestions for achievements. A short text excerpt is then sent to Anthropic (Claude). If you don't use those features, nothing is sent.
How do I invite my family?
An adult creates the family and invites the rest with an SMS code. Sign-in happens with Apple or Google.
